Discover Gallup Park

Updated: Nov 5, 2022

International Neighbors will welcome new and returning members to our annual Open House in the Maas Shelter at Gallup Park on Thursday, September 15, 1-2:30 PM. Gallup Park is the crown jewel of the many parks in Ann Arbor; it is host to a great variety of outdoor activities. If you stopped by there on a beautiful summer day, you would almost certainly be treated to hearing squeals of delight as happy folks ride the current on the Huron River on inflated tubes. Canoe, kayak, and paddle boat rentals offer further opportunities to float down the scenic river.

There are many activities to enjoy on land. Besides three playgrounds and scattered picnic areas, there are over three miles of asphalt trails available for walking, running, biking, or rollerblading. The trails are an important link in the 5.6 mile Ann Arbor Corridor of the Border to Border Trail. Concessions, coffee, and even free WI-FI are available at the boat rental office.
